Founded in Copenhagen in 2006, it's now owned by Booking Holdings, the same parent company behind Kayak and Skyscanner, though the three products still feel meaningfully different to use day to day.
The standout feature in our testing was Fee Assistant, which folds checked and carry-on baggage fees directly into the prices shown on the initial results screen. Most competitors only show the bare fare and bury baggage costs in fine print or a separate click-through — momondo lets you input exactly how many bags you're bringing and instantly re-sorts results around the true total cost.
